7 Diet and Precautions to Prevent Asthma Trigger

Asthma is one of the most common diseases in the world. According to WHO, around 339 million people had asthma in 2016. In this case, if you are an asthma patient, you should eat these to prevent a trigger and stay healthy.

 

Vitamin D rich food: Milk and eggs have a lot of vitamin D in them. It is perfect for children aged 6 to 15 years. If you have one, make sure they have plenty of vitamin D rich food like salmon, orange juice, etc. If you are allergic to milk and eggs, then avoid it as your source of vitamin D.

 

Apples: According to the Nutrition Journal research, there is a low risk of asthma triggers, and it also increases your lung function.

 

Bananas: It contains good antioxidants and potassium as it improves your lung function. Especially in children, it controls wheezing.

 

Omega 3 fatty acid-rich food: You must consume omega three rich foods if you are an asthma patient. It helps you with asthma significantly. Some of the food which contains this fat is salmon, tuna, and flaxseed.

 

Avoid high-calorie food: If you are obese and are continuously taking high calories in your diet, it will affect your body. Asthma patients with severe symptoms and are obese must avoid calories as much as they can. You can take medication for your symptoms, along with a bit of exercise.

 

Stay away from allergies: If you are allergic to particular components or food items, make sure to stay away as far as possible from it. It can increase inflammation in your lungs and triggering an attack.

 

Avoid smoke of any kind: Smoke is a big enemy to asthma patients. You must limit yourself from access to any sorts of smoke like air pollution, tobacco, fireworks, etc.
